Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
The Liberty Bandwagon. Built for the Ringling show during WWII and used for war bond parades as well as the show. Don Covington
We can still admire the size of the Liberty, and of that Big Top in a grand era. Buckles verified for me that those side poles were 15 feet tall.
The pneumatic rubber tires on this wagon certainly made for less ass punishment than on wagons #2 #4 & #5 above
Bill Yeske's wife did all the welding of the Liberty Bandwagon as their son and the rest of the young guys from the shop had gone into the service.
