ZOO PARADE ran from 1950 to '55, from Lincoln Park. Then from '55 to '57, it hit the road, broadcasting from various zoos.

Next, Perkins hosted WILD KINGDOM from '63 to '68. It was revived in 2002, and is seen on ANIMAL PLANET.

WNBQ-TV began airing out of Chicago on Channel 5 on January 7, 1949. It is now WNAQ-TV, still Channel 5.

Stay well, CHIC.

When Zoo Parade was done at the Lincoln Park Zoo they often used a small studio in the basement of the Reptile House, now a Zoo Café.
