I wasn't involved in this production

starring Mickey Rooney & Ann Miller

but had many friends that were

When Ralph Allen who wrote the book

was hired to produce new material

at the John F kennedy Center in DC

he hired me as Production Coordinator

I worked on about 20 productions for

them in the 80s while still involved

in everything else (very busy years)

YOU HAVE A VERY IMPRESSIVE RESUME CHIC FOR BEING A SHOW BUM !!!

Some folks consider "Showbum"

as an insult but I proudly

wear it as a badge of honor

"This Show Biz Is All Right"

& has been very good to me

I remember to be grateful

for my dumb luck every day

Thanks Casey

I took my mother to SUGAR BABIES, at the State Fair Music Hall, in Dallas. Ms. Miller was then in her more mature years, but she wowed the house by burning up the stage with her rapid-fire tap dancing that had not diminished since her MGM days. The whole show was a sensation, but Ms. Miller won the most curtain calls. What a hell of a star she was.

opening night on Broadway, I sat next to the one and only Judy Canova, her daughter Diane and her boyfriend from Barney Miller fame , behind me was Walter Cronkite there were others there that night too, but I was so busy enjoying Ms. Canova...What a spectacular show for sure. I also agree with Roger ..Ann Miller stopped the show twice that night....

MR. LEE: You returned some fond memories. Beloved Judy Canova, "The Jenny Lind of the Ozarks", died in 1983, far too young at 69.

Anyone wanting insight to Judy Canova's sense of comedy, look up her film JOAN OF OZARK.
