More RBBB #11

My Mother and I visited the show this year and while in the back yard the subject of the show's feature, Mr. Misten arose and Micky Freeman immediately leaped to his defense exclaiming that he spoke  six different languages.
Indicating to me his offering wasn't being well received.
He played a xylophone

No, it wasn't. When he tried to engage the audience with a sing-along, he flopped so bad it was embarrassing.

Just an update. I thought Mistin was Ralph Heid who played until a few years ago in Europe. Another fellow and I tracked Mistin down. He is living in Belgium and Heid died a few years back. Not sure what Mistin did with his adult life but his son has a music publishing company. We could not get any other info.

Heid wrote the theme for Circus Renz which is worth goggling. Even Andre Rieu has played it. It got Scott O'Donnell's attention at CWM this summer and you may hear it next year somewhere on the grounds.

Heid and Mistin had very very similar acts and child careers. I know Mistin was not a hit on Ringling but Heid managed to pull off this act in Europe for years.

I had corresponded with Heid at one time and he never set the record straight. We just pursued this as a mystery and wanted to get to the bottom of it.
