I cannot imagine having someone like M. Misten in the center ring (if that was the case) playing his xylophone for the circus audience. There had to have been some pretty good audio amplification for him to be heard. In a huge tent like the show had at that time, he would have been hard for a good share of the audience to see.

I still have this one, from the night we saw him. This effort at promotion was not John North's most shining moment.

They had a portable stage mounted on a Jeep that rotated as he played.
