To Bob Karczewski

In regard to your comment, Polack Bros. Circus used to play Military Bases sponsored by the U.S. Army and by chance, did a one day stand at the Baseball Field at Ft. Chaffee, Ark while I was there going thru Basic Training.
We were out in the field when this jeep pulls up and a Junior Officer jumps out and demands to see Private Woodcock so they fetched me off  and away we went to a place where this Senior Officer informed me a Mister Mack MacDonald with the circus asked if he could see me.
So back in the jeep we go and now emboldened asked the Sgt. if we could pick up a couple of my buddies and he said, "What the Hell!.....why not!
So the three of us find Peggy and Mack's trailer where we were fed, allowed to shower and front row seats at the performance where this trick was performed.
So to get back to your question, they would go into a long mount and last elephant "Opal" would do a half turn, go into a front leg stand placing her hind legs the elephant ahead of her.
I later mentioned this to my father and he came up with the idea as seen in Picture #8 below.

Thank You, Buckles for the explanation! It is a unique trick that I too would like to see it performed.
