Little Bob Stevens was an absolutely relentless Showman, taking out small shows for many years.
My father had our act with him one season.
The ladies here are his wife Ione and mother Mud.
We have all heard the expression "Your name is Mud!" that's how she was casually addressed by everyone.

Hertzberg Curator and historian Leonard Farley came away angry from Little Bob's funeral. He lamented, "People stood commenting on how Little Bob never seemed to have time to shave. Why does that linger with them, when the man strove for years to sell a few bottles of Coca-Cola and get his little show over the road?" Why, indeed.
