Under Canvas #7



When I visited the show in Chicago in 1955 I asked George Werner how big the top was and he said 209' across with 3 58' middles. I didn't ask about the menagerie, it was a long narrow top maybe a 70.

"Pops Werner" & wasn't he big top

boss (canvas superintendant) on the

Beatty Show in the early 60s
