I just received a lot of material from Duane Bowman a High School buddy of mine who lives in California but always attends the class reunions held in Hot Springs every five years. This one marks the 60th and I see three class are combined, time takes it's toll. Now this is the way a High school should look and where my father and I both attended. It remains standing right down town serving to house various civic offices and will probably remain long after the new High School had been demolished and forgotten. Barbara and I attended the 50th Reunion ten years ago held in the Arlington Hotel when it was only the Class of '53. We timed it to coincide with a trip to Hugo where we sold my mother's house and bought a tombstone. |

It appears that the caption under
the photo of the High School has
the hotel name by mistake
Our very own (but not mine) HS here
in Sarasota from 1926 was almost
torn down several times & has been
vacant for many years so far but
there is currently a plan to turn
the historic building into some
sort of mixed use arts facility
I would have absolutely NO interest
in getting together with ANY of my
high school classmates but I wish
there would be a gathering of my
old Coast Guard buddies
We only had three: 20th, 35th and 50th.
By that time most of them had gotten so old that they didn't recognize me.
