Mr Magoo? You must remember that this was before cartoons had been invented. We were still drawing on cave walls and the occasional deer skin.

That was how Al Capp got his start (little known fact # 423).

Well, Ole Whitey, I wish I was as young as you think I am! I was a faithful reader of L'il Abner when I was a kid, but I thought it a good idea to Google Al Capp anyway. I'm glad I did because I had forgotten all about when he showed up in John and Yoko's hotel room in Montreal in 1969! There is a video clip of the conversation, but I have to wait to get home to my laptop for sound...
