Buckles,
here is a photo I took in April, 1988 in Rock Hill, SC showing Pete, Helen, & I have noted that Konti is the bull at the far right. I`m send you this per the discussion on your blog about them being the work bulls on CBCB during the 80`s. I also remember something about Freddie Logan telling me that Maude had developed arthritis and I believe she was given to the St. Louis Zoo. I could be wrong, so someone please correct me if I am.

Looks like a chilly morning, Doggy has his hood up.
Sean started working for me in 1979 on the blue Show, I was short handed and got a couple of guys off concessions.
He's been around elephants ever since in fact I had a nice chat with him up at the Stud Farm last week along with Gary Thomas and Garcia.

I believe Maude was hurt in some

truck incident & was hesitant to

load for quite a while & had to

be "assisted" That may have been

a contributing factor

My very first bunk on the Beatty show(74) was the middle bunk, elephant side, directly above Little Bobby in #61. You haven't lived until Helen has blown dryed your hair at 5:30AM. Yeah there was kinda/sorta some boards in between but still...

And as for my buddy Sean (Dog),in 79(I think) my wife and I carried Dog and Enoch in our motor home from David's place in Melbourne FL (Hoosiers Zoo) to Saginaw MI to work for Gary Thomas.
Those jackpots couldn't even be passed off as fiction today tho. Yet life was simpler then.
