Hello Buckles, I recently found some photos that I had taken in 1979 on Allen C. Hill's Great American Circus. I had done a favor for Allen earlier that day so he allowed me free run of the show, camera in hand. The photo of Allen with his parents I had taken at another time. Any additions or corrections to the names from your readers would be appreciated. My best regards, Don Curtis |

Correction:
Mr. Hill spelled his name Allan instead of Allen.
Thanks,
Don

Wasn't this show assembled out of
mostly Hoxie & also some Bartok
How many years did it last
To my best knowledge Chic, it was the 2nd unit of the Hoxie Show called Hoxie's Great American, that he had Alan take out. As the years passed Alan bought Hoxie out and it just turned into Great American Circus, which Alan kept out until 1994 when the show finally folded...

Yes, it was Hoxie's 2nd unit framed to play smaller towns that Hoxie Bros. was getting too large to play. It first went out in 1976. Beverly and I were on it in 1977. Allan's father, Bill Hill was the Manager.
