This would be Patricia Zerm (1910-1986) who worked for Ringling during most of the 1940s and into the early 1950s. Her husband was Charles Zerm, assistant side show mgr and ticket seller on Ringling for a number of years. Ward Hall would be able to confirm this as she met Ward Hall when the Zerms went over to the Dailey show late in 1946. She later worked for Ward in the early 1970s after the death of her husband and may have appeared again with Ringling in the big side show Ward assembled for the Washington, D.C., engagement in 1974 when the had opposition from the Capital Centre’s big Circus America production. This is "Lady Patricia Zerm" (Zurm?) Born Sep 1 1910 as Patricia "Patsy" Nellie Kennedy she may have performed under the name "Patsy Smith" with the Ringling-Barnum sideshow as early as 1939. From 1942-1945, Patricia performed as the sword swallower with Ringling-Barnum under the name Patricia Katts or "Miss Patricia", although she was also billed as "The Neon Tube Swallower" or "The Neon Tube Artist". The 1944 route book lists "Miss Patricia" as "Neon Tube Artist" as "Lady Louise Long" was also listed as sword swallower. In 1945, "Miss Patricia" married Ringling ticket seller and assistant manager Charles Zerm. After appearing on several carnivals in the late '40s, "Miss Patricia" returned to Ringling-Barnum in 1948, 1950. and 1951 (when this scene was shot in Philadelphia). Patricia Zerm died in Tampa in Jan 1986
