Halloween in Ruskin

Scan00000010028, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. After retirement Mrs. Ray bought 25 acres in Florida and in turn sold five acres each to four of her daughters Peggy, Billie, Hope and Barbara. The above picture was taken in 1985 about 10 years later at our annual Halloween party. In front are Aunt Peggy and Marie Pettus and standing in back is the neighborhood witch, my mother in law and Sandy Fullbright. This was quite an event which has been continued until this day. The highlight of which was scaring the Hell out of the kids. A small tent was set up, similar to a fun house and after dark they were induced to walk thru in the darkness past several ghastly objects. Sort of a Rite of Passage. I think Dalilah still holds the record for the fastest time in one side and out the other..
