Richard Reynolds says - - -

San Diego zoo has a program called Backstage Pass whereby, for an extra fee, visitors may have intimate contact with a variety of animals, the zoo's Indian rhinos being one of the species - -as shown here. The program is very popular.

A number of zoos and aquariums are doing similar encounters quite successfully. At the Georgia Aquarium, for example, one may pay extra ($190 for a swim - - $290 for a dive) with the 4 whale sharks and 2 giant manta rays plus thousands of other fish in the gigantic Ocean Voyager tank - - 6.33 million gallons of water, the world's largest. All of this proves how much folks relish intimate or close contact with exotic animals.
