I wonder what the average age of Asian elephants in the US is? It can't be too many years before the only ones left performing are those born at the stud farm and a couple other misc births. Then, even one elephants walking down the street will be a major event.
Marching through a blighted area
of DC with all those roll down
steel gates in front of the shops
Not as bad as the area surrounding
the old armory used to be
Is Sonny the only survivor still
on a traveling unit
Dress code optional?
LOVE TO SEE THE GIRLS WORKING WITH THE BULLS!

You think they need all that help with such a small herd?Specially in these economic times?

This was from Union Station to the Staples Center in LOS ANGELES. ~frank
How is the calf transported during the walk? I thought we had seen on previous photos that he lead the herd.
Radar -
Depending on the route they took, the walk could be between 3 mi. and 3.5 mi. I don't know if that's too far for a calf to walk, but I also heard that Baby Barack was ill recently. ~frank
Thanks Frank I guess it "aint no
better" out there (maybe worse)
So what's the name of the new
arena in downtown DC
They have Union Stations all
across America (Union Pacific)
There is a semi that transports the calf... cute as hell. I had the pleasure of jack-potting with Janice Aria, Joe Frisco, and his lovely wife after seeing a terrific show. Barrack just recently returned to the show. Janice picked up the check! I LOVE the woman's movement!!!
Back in 73 at Winter Quarters they had a special truck for hauling animals around. We used it at CW when they had me take some of the petting zoo animals to malls and crap like that! I don't miss that shit at all. I did like to do the road trips/parades the Capt entrusted me to do tho.
Gary:
Did you get to haul the animals up for that arts dinner at that hotel at 192 & I-4? As I remember we had a couple of Llamas and other small critters as well as George the elephant came along. He thought he'd found the mother load with all of the tropical green plants out at the entrance of the place. I remember the handlers constantly discouraging him from having a snack on the foliage.
