1970 Venice Quarters

Scan000010467, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Shannon and me visiting the 100th Anniversary show while in
rehearsal.
We returned to California a few days later with the Kellner
elephants and didn't get to see show until the following year
in Memphis where we unloaded the same elephants behind the
elephant tent and camped for the day.
Between shows Johnny took us down to the train. First time I
ever saw a 40' state room.

The Hickory Creek was the last car

the next had 2 staterooms 1/2 each

the next was split 2/3rds & 1/3rd

The back end of the train was

known as "Beverly Hills"

Buckles...seems like the only time you allow a full-out smile in a photo is when it involves the kids!

By the way Shannon I want to be

on record to tell you HOW MUCH

so many of us are grateful to you

for giving us this sandbox to play

in with your dad's ever vigilant

position of "Performance Director"

I've been extremely lucky up til

now never having any addictive

tendencies but my wife says it's

close to coming to intervention
