Guzman and Monique, the first inclined wire and motorcycle I ever saw.
Brought down the house in The Garden on the 10am Saturday shows that were packed with children.

I see Joe in town every so often

Monique died many years ago

After his brother Chico was killed

some folks called Joe by that name

Had a nice chat with Joe at the Ring of Fame ceremony in Sarasota last January.

He's looking fit and well.

nice people, Joe was personality plus and Mike is right their act was one of the first of its kind, beautifully chromed rigging and flashy wardrobe--Elvin later did a similar act on Ringling Blue--i wondered what happened to Guzman & Monique...Joe was part of the Blue Show "clique" which included Franz Althoff, Elvin Bale etc. After Ringling/1970 I lost track of them...did they stay in the business much longer?

They worked Shrine & spot dates

for several years before Monique

passed away including the Jimmy

Harrington's "Circo PanAmericano"

that I worked on for several years

He is a member of our Stagehands

local here in Sarasota along with

many of our showfolk

Jack and everyone, many thanks for the current info on Joe, a really great guy we haven't seen for far too long. Last time I believe he was with Hamid or Hanneford in a non performing capacity. All our best to you Joe.

Any relation to the Guzman that was on Vargas in the mid 80's with the Guzman Camadi highwire act?
