Joe Bradbury always feared that someone would pawn off a "Baraboo era" photo, showing a wagon on a flat bearing a title with which it never traveled.
Compare the carving details on the wagon in the photo, versus those on the actual Barnes wagon, and you should have your answer. Remember, only the wooden elephants survived, everything else was re-created.
The Elephant Tab was restored at CWM over the winter of 1986-1987. Marv Gauger was called out of retirement to help on the project.

Bob Cline: Any ideas on the identity of the elephants?
Dave,
I couldn't identify this elephant from that one. Buckles is the expert. However, my educated guess is that these were some of the Bobby Moore elephants that he had bought from Roman Schmitt. He got Luna, Smokey, Roman and Tonka around 1985 / 1986 from Roman.
Tonka was born Aug. 23, 1983.
Roman was born Sept. 9, 1983.
Luna was born Jan. 1, 1984.
Smokey was born Feb. 2, 1984.
Roman was acquired from Roman Schmitt on Feb. 12, 1985 according to the Asian Elephant studbook and didn't stay with Bobby Moore only a couple months before going to David Blasko.
Bobby spent some time at the CWM in particular with Smokey helping to put an elephant hitch together. Jim Peterson has posted some of these photos on his blog before. Unfortunately the blogging devils have destroyed his archives, so maybe he will see this and post them again.
With Steve Flint's knowledge that the elephant tab wasn't restored until the winter of 1986 / 1987,
my educated "GUESS" is that this is Luna, Tonka, and Smokey.

Another giveaway as to the age of the photo. Look between the gaps of the sidewall & the top. It looks like the tent is a striped top on the inside, although it dosen`t appear that way on the outside.
