Aug. 1967

Buckles,
I just got some more of my dad's negatives developed today. This picture says it was taken in August of 1967 at the Venice Winter Quarters. I seriously doubt this water wagon had an actual circus history to have survived this long but I could be wrong. Do you or any of your viewers know anything about this old wooden water wagon?
Thanks,
Bob

I don't know about the wagon, but the pony barn is to the left and I sure shoveled alot of shit out of that place when I worked in WQ's.

There's an 1888 photo of the B&B water wagon. It's not this wagon. The title is too plain, the usual railroad show wagon attachments are absent, etc. There's another instance where a similar water tank wagon was being passed off as a Gentry wagon. The only bonafide railroad show water wagon in existence is the ex-RAS vehicle at CWM, which, unfortunately, had the original wheels replaced by a set of steel-tired wooden wheels. One of the Goldsack books has a photo showing it in the actual configuration.
