Wow. So many familiar show bums here. We had so many good memories on Gil's show, "The show Beautiful". One of the finest small circuses in America.
Gil took such pride in creating every new edition. Max ran the shop and quarters, Billy Burke and Lawrence Cross built prop and costumes. The Wong troupe were staples of the show.
My mom Gee Gee and husband Bill performed several times on his show over the years.
I grew up just around the corner from Gil's quarters on Timberloam Drive right across from the Zoppe brothers. It was a great childhood and I learned the business on Gil's show and later Larry and Donny's when they purchased it in the mid sixties.
The State Fair was always a great date for Gil. He put on a first class show every October and all the show folks would come by and visit and jackpot. Wonderful,wonderful memories
