Didn't Dime Wilson do an act like this? I never saw it but remember someonee talking about it. Possi8bly I am wrong.

Yes, I agree Wilson did this number, but an earlier famous exponent was Harry Ritley. Bradna wrote of him as a Ringling producing clown when the then-new Madison Square Garden opened in 1926, citing Ritley as a stand-out solo. Bradna further noted Ritley took a hard jolt when his tables collapsed, and no one cared to continue this act upon his retirement. Perhaps for awhile, but most of us have seen others take it up over the seasons.
I seem to recall that Harry might have been on Clyde Beatty in the early 40's. Pleae correct me if I am wrong.

My dreams of this act collapsed when I took a mouldoon off a barstool.
