Cole Bros. 1940 rolling stock #1

I don't know when the Cole Show put pneumatic tires on these Mack Trucks.
The hard rubber (Carnival style) wheels were now being placed on the baggage wagons to eliminate the fines resulting from damage done by the steel rimmed wheels to ever increasing paved streets.

Buckles, This is a fantastic set of good quality photos! The Circus Model Builders should really enjoy these.

Buckles,
A great series of photos on Cole.
In the Bandwagon series on Cole they mentioned when Cole played the West coast they picked up many of those Carnival wheels or Mack truck wheels.
Little did anyone know that world war II was coming and those crummy wheels as fans called them would last till the Cole show closed.
No flat tires to change and those wheels last foreever..
Some one on Cole made a real smart move.
