Roger This type of post card is called a linen, due to the linen-like look of the paper. These were not always color photos, but black and white which were hand colored and had other objects or people superimpossed on the picture. If you look at post cards of hotels of this era, there is usually a car in the foreground and this was the photographer's car, that was added to the finished product. Some post cards of this era also have different colors for the buildings than the original and if re-issued, there may be entirely diiiferent color that someone thought would look better. Bob Kitto
