Hilarious Feedback From Ringling Bros.!

!cid_image005_jpg@01CA71C6, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Every year I take it upon myself to submit comments and suggestions to Feld entertainment after attending that years show , their response is always the same old polished, canned response written by their PR department. I gave them some compliments but also asked 1. Why are there only 11 elephants and 2. Where has the spec. gone? Their response is funnier than their clowns!

Thank you for your comments and feedback on Zing Zang Zoom the 139th Edition of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey®. As always, we value your thoughts and will take them into consideration as we begin working on the next production of The Greatest Show On Earth®. We appreciate the opportunity to provide you with additional information about the changes we have made to this year’s show.

Ringling Bros. has always been a leader in modernizing the circus - from bringing the circus from the tent to the arena 50 years ago to bursting out of the three-rings. In fact, finding innovative and exciting ways to entertain our audiences is as much of a tradition for Ringling Bros. as are the three rings themselves.

With the launch of the Zing Zang Zoom, we have three very distinct shows traveling across America. By having three very different shows, it ensures that every time we visit a city, audiences will experience a completely different Ringling Bros. production.

You should know that the bold changes that were introduced with Zing Zang Zoom were, in fact, motivated by market research gleaned from our core customer base, families. In talking with parents, we learned that audiences wanted to be able to focus on one act at a time and participate in a more interactive circus experience. And audiences wanted to be taken on a journey or follow a story line so that they could develop a deeper connection with Ringling Bros. performers.

To learn more about our shows, our Web site (www.Ringling.com) includes information about all of the Ringling Bros. tours. Additionally, please feel free to contact us prior to purchasing tickets to a Ringling Bros. show and we will be happy to provide you with information about the performance coming to your area. In addition, each year a new show will come to your area, therefore you will never see the same show twice. The Red and Blue tours alternate each year, and have life span of 2 years before they are re-done to create a new show.

We set very high standards for our shows and constantly work to ensure that all of our shows are of the highest caliber. Because the feelings that you have relayed are very important to us, please be assured that your comments will be forwarded to our Executive Staff for review.

Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. We hope you and your family will continue to attend future editions of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey and experience the magic that is The Greatest Show On Earth.

Sincerely,

Ringling Bros.

Sorry to see that P.T. Barnum and James A. Bailey have red lighted.

If these are a fair sample of

their new age clowns (and I use

that term with pause) then it's

a sorry state of affairs in the

venerable alley

Very sad indeed

Buckles,
Not only B&B, but all the others are not with us either.
Why didn't someone have the guts to add their own name and title?

What is up with these new-age Ringling clowns? Don't the Ringling show still run their clown school anymore? I took my family to see the show in PA and these clowns did not impress.

As I understand it, these are not Ringling clowns but Mr. Stirk, who submitted the review above and his family attending the show in make up.
Having said that, I feel sure that they are equally as funny as the clowns they witnessed.

I thought the reviewer said that

his daughter was in make-up and

that a few show clowns came to

take photos with her

The Clown College moved from

Venice to Baraboo and then back

to the Sarasota Opera House

before it was shut down several

years ago (to cut expenses)

Hello all,
Actually the picture is my two kids with 2 Rinlging Clowns--The guy is Dan Portillo (boss clown with the Red show). I too agree that the level of clowning has gone way down since the close of the Clown College. As a young kid I applied 3 times to get in (of course i wasn't yet 18!) Unfortunatly I never made it to Clown College.
Just take a look at the clown alley on the 118th Ed. (Frosty Little, Tommy and Tammy Parish, Greg DeSanto, Scott Linker, Huel Speight, the list goes on) that was a truely awesome group!

That being said the clowns with RBBB this year were still Very nice and went out of their way to get some pictures with my kids 9which I thought was cool).

These "show" clowns look more

like halloween than circus

Make-up & wardrobe are pathetic
