From Casey Gibbs

We have lost a friend, as Michael Polokovs, Coco the Clown, has passed away, as of last night, painlessly, after a series of mini strokes. When you think of him, smile…..he’d like that.

Funeral arrangements are for Friday at Neils funeral Home in Cattletsburg, Ky. I don’t have the address or further info at this time.

Hazel is fine, but weak. She walks with a walker, and wears oxygen now, but would love a card, I’m sure.

Mary Jane and I worked with Mike and Hazel on the Hanneford advance a couple of years when Bill English was over there. This was over thirty-five years ago.

They were great people to work around and Mike was an extremely funny clown.

Once when we were playing Ashland they had us out to the house and Mike showed us where he had sold the mineral rights on his farm to a big coal company.

Several years after that they were playing schools close to us and they came over one night and parked their trailer just down from ours in a vacant spot. Mary Jane made breakfast for us all the next morning before they took off.

Wonderful times. We will miss Mike a lot and we send love to Hazel.
