Welcome to Buckles Blog. This site is for the discussion of Circus History all over the world.
This tiger is among the most reproduced, OK stolen maybe, of all tiger shots. It's a beauty. The name I've seen most often given this guy is Paragon. Does anyone know if this is correct?
The pic of the camels unloading was taken here in Atlanta in 1935 at the Southern RR team track siding in Piedmont Park. The stock car would be camel car #26. Note the heavy muzzle on the one on the ramp. He must have been a tough male, perhaps in rut. Next to the camel car (right) we see elephant car #27. It had bunks for elephant men in one end and the openings can be seen.
