Today that 25 cents admission would be approximately $3.00.

Today the "free" admission for all under 15 years would be $19.00

When you add in the cost of concessions, rides, food, souvenir photos and miscellany the "free" disappears faster than campaign promises.

Filed under "The Longest Week of My Life . . ." After i got home from CC '76 without a contract, I got a call from George Hanneford to be a clown at the Hall of Fame. During the two days it took me to get back to Fl from Ct, he hired Dougie Ashton. When I got there, there was no job. But he kept me on at the princely sum we'd agreed to, and I worked in the lobby next to this wagon. And despite the demonstration of my vast repetoire of comedic genius, it never once laughed . . . At the end of the week, I took my money and ran.
