Question, weren't the Ortons divorced and the gentleman kept using the Orton name when he was not the original Orton, the former wife was the Orton?
Clarification for historical purposes, please?
"You are correct Mike, above is my cousin Gracie Orton and her husband Verne "Dutch" Lidke who had been boss prop man on the Orton Show. How they happened to get into the sway pole business is unknown to me but one thing for sure, for a prop guy, Dutch was a pretty clever, he had the act , the trade mark and the name "Orton" copywritten in his own name and after their divorce and although Gracie continued with a sway pole act she was unable to use her own name."
