Bud, The blue cannon to the right is the retired Edmundo Zacchini double repeating cannon. Send me your e-mail, and I'll send you a whole bunch of cannon photos.

The 1975 Fred Pfening articles on circus cannons which appeared in the Bandwagon, list a total of 11 Zacchini Cannons, 5 of which still exist.

Keep in mind, these cannon trucks often underwent extreme body makeovers through the years.

Over Christmas 1959 I went to Florida with John Hall and his then wife Wink. We hit all the winter quarters and the museums. We knew Edmondo because his daughter Duina lived in Nashville and he very kindly invited us over for breakfast one morning.

What a great man he was. We saw his barn on that occasion but I didn't think about taking any pictures (rats!).

Did you know that Edmondo was a fine singer of Italian opera? Also a darn good photographer (he had a dark room in the cannon).

Please let up.

I've got a catch in my side and it hurts when I laugh.

Curious if you have any other pictures from inside the "barn". I have to admit, I've been by there, but never inside!

Hi,
Any place to find photos of the X-15 double cannon? I have been fascinated with the X-15 ever since I was a kid in Jacksonville, Fla.
