Is this Walter Jennier's wife or another relative?

Looks like Ethel who was later

married to Jack Joyce

Walter's ex-wife. She then married Jack Joyce, the horse/camel trainer. I think they had split by time time she had a greyhound act.

Correct, had this act on Marsha Hunt's show in early 70's. She was a wonderful lady and lots of fun.

I worked with Ethel on the Famous Hunt's Circus the last year it was on the road which was 1978. She was great to work with. Her daughter Joanne was also on the show with her seal Sunny.

I studied under Bob Momyer at RBB&B CC in 1976 and worked on staff with him in 1977. Great magician, as I recall . . .

nice lady, great showmen--old school style, energetic--could sell any act in the best tradition...was married to Jack and were together on Ringling Blue; later i beleive she was on her own with the dogs and worked the beatty show; believe it or not she worked as a showgirl on Ringling Blue in 1970 when she had to be in her 60s already.

Ethel & Jack were still together

when they were on the Beatty

Show in the 60s and Jack was

the performance director and

had Liberty Zebras in ring 2

I think John Rouche was with him

as the groom

For the time period, Ethel Jennier had one of the best single trap acts. Her finish trick was a standing, backward fall into an ankle drop. She sold that act from the time she walked into the ring and rolled up the web to the finish trick. Been a long time since I have seen anyone roll up the web. In later years, when working her dog act, she still had that "It Factor" working for her. She brought excitement to any act she worked. Charles Hanson

Vicky Unus did a fantastic

roll up the web as well as

a fabulous aerila act

She still looks great by the way

That "aerila" arial act that I

mispelled was one of the best

roman ring routines that finished

with 100 one arm planges nearly

every performance for many years

The only ring act that I've seen

to be comparable (or some say

of even higher achievement) was

the incredible Dolly Jacobs

who finished with a flying

dismount to a distant web

Thanks for the kind word, Bruce. Those were some fun times especially when some of the greats like Lou were in the arena and teaching
