Florian #30

Florian30, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

The film concludes with a shot of Diana, Florian, and Anton looking forward to a bright and happy future together.

By the time FLORIAN was released, World War II was already underway in Europe, cutting off Hollywood’s all important foreign market. Over the years, FLORIAN never achieved the same classic status as films such as GONE WITH THE WIND or THE WIZARD OF OZ. Since the release of the 1963 Disney film MIRACLE OF THE WHITE STALLIONS, it has fallen into obscurity and is now virtually unknown by those too young to have seen it in theaters or on television.

An acceptable copy is available on DVD from the Lipizzan Association of North America (LANA) through their website.

I wonder if he kissed the horse and pet the girl on the head.

I'm tearing up just reading this description! That's what my attention span has deteriorated to...5 pictures and & 2 lines of print.

Thank you so much for the mini movie...

If done today Robert Young would be replaced by Ray Romano and Florian would probably be animated due to the high cost of involving the teamsters union...

The thanks should go to Buckles for his willingness to post it when there are so many other circus-related items available to him to post.
