The photo with the label Henry Cogart is non other than Hal Sayers, a New England juggler who with wife (Dennis and Sayers) lived in Swansea, Mass. They performed mostly around New England doing club dates and fairs, but after World War II, found showbusiness a dificult place to make a living. Hal's biggest gig was being on the T.V. show The Sealtest Big Top (WCAU.) at the National Guard Armory in Camden New Jersey in 1958. Wife Gene Dennis' father was a carnival performer who was killed at a Rhode Island fair date after diving off of a pedistal into a tub of water - he missed the water and hit the tub. Hal and Gene had a daughter Jannet, and because of the hard times, they split and Hal worked in a butcher shop in Fall River, Mass. Later, he remaried a woman that owned a florest shop in Fall Rivier, and worked there until his death several years ago.
Henry Cogart, was an artist representative in Boston (called a five percenter) He dealt with agents who got ten percent. Hal, who lived down the street from me towards the river, taught me how to juggle, and he and Gene started me in show business. Terry O'Brien
