Parker & Watts Circus Band

Buckles, Attached photo of the Parker & Watts Circus Band 1939 Season. L. Claude Myers, Director.
On the back of this photo card is written: The 1970 Circus Season was a glorious one for all lovers of Corcus Music even though we had only two Circus Bands on the road. The James Ille Band on the Ringling red Unit and the Charles Schlarbaum band on the Beatty Cole Circus.
Golden Crest Records, 220 Broadway Huntington Station, New York, 11746 issued four records of the best in Circus band music with Merle Evans directing and one record by Merle telling of his experiences on circuses.
The Queens Band, Royal Life Guards London, England came out with an excellent record of all Karl L. King's Circus Music.

"On the subject of of circus band music, as I type this I am listening to a tape of Merle Evans early 1930's recording of "Memphis the Majestic" received this morning from Eric Beheim."
