Despite all the panic and confusion that is taking place outside the big cage, Mabel is able to cue her tigers to leave the arena quickly and in an orderly manner.

During the Hartford fire, May Kovar did this for real, remaining to coax a spooked panther to leave the west cage as flames roared overhead and the panicky crowd began piling up against the northwest chute.
