Sparks Circus 1947 #3

Scan10494, originally uploaded by bucklesw1.

Here is the show on the lot in Florida, now mounted on ten railroad cars and bound for Canada, with what should have been a great season, the timing was perfect.
The side show in the upper left hand corner, the 120' big top in the center and the marquee and menagerie at right.
Edgar's investors and inlaws had enabled him to take it out "New From Hoof To Helmet!".

A few of the Sparks 1947 wagons exist today, although in modified form.

It would be interesting to compare the details of the Saprks tour with that of Concello's Pan Pacific, which found it difficult to haul all that money out of Canada.
