I never noticed anything on her that looked like scars from being burned and if there were, they would have come from the Cleveland menagerie fire of 1942 not Hartford. |

i don't rememebr her from the park but what am amazing run on RBBB--now she was a trouper!
For several years after her death you could still get a response from all the elephants that were babies on the show in the fifties, by saying her name.
I do remember that day! It was really sad that whole week before as we all knew what was coming. I did manage to collect some of her tail hairs when you weren't looking Capt. We buried her in the acreage behind the park, I wonder if they disturbed her building, what houses on top?
I remember Marcella from the 1976 season on the RBBB Blue Unit. Sweet old gal.
Sorry for the delay in posting my thanks. I have a true sense of resolution now.
