This is an interesting photo, as the steel arena design is very similar to the Alfred Court arenas that appeared on Ringling in the 1940's.
I am reasonably certain that the first steel arena that Jon Tarzan Zerbini used on Mills Bros. ( 1961 - 1963 ) was a former Court arena. Also, an arena that was at Benson's Wild Animal Farm in NH was likely a former Court cage.
Jimmy Cole, The arena that was set up permanent in the back lot at Venice was used by Wolfgang, Ursula, Charly, Gunther, myself, and others, and it is now sitting on Venice beach as a Pelican cage at the Pelican Mans Sanctuary. Isn't that a shame. Wade

Look at the physique. Are you sure that is not Gilbert Houcke?
