What was the wagon in the background used for? I noticed the steel upright goes all the way down to the possum belly and the steel support under the wagon while the rest of the supports appear to be wooden. Also the small window propped open doesn't indicate any Food Service as they were all painted green by the 1950's I believe.

Bob,
The wagon behind Pinito Del Oro is #114 electrical dept. and lighting equipment.
It was a 16 footer and had the iron channel iron in front and back of the floor drop.
The wagon is currently in the old Circus Building at the Ringling Museum in Sarasota.
Ringling started painting their cookhouse wagons and selected other wagons green in 1951.

Thanks, Dom!

Pinito Del Oro made me fall in love for the first time from the minute I saw her. I was about 8 years old, and was massively entranced by her beauty and her magic in the air. She was, for me, the epitome of the wondrous circus girl. Only one or two other women have so captured my imagination since. The last I knew, she was still living in Venice, Italy.

If anyone comes back to this photo, I can't believe you guys. You have a picture of Pinito Del Oro in front of you, and you're wondering what wagon that is!

Sorry Roger. I never saw the GSOE under canvas or Pinito Del Oro perform. I have had the opportunity to see some of the wagons.
What Pinito Del Oro did for you Roger, Evy Althoff did for me. Breathtaking!
