From Buckles

Scan000011214, originally uploaded by bucklesw1. As mentioned before, my mother and I saw Mr. Schmitt's first appearance with the Ringlng Show in 1948. Also the first time I ever saw an elephant hind-leg walk or a one-foot stand. I was amazed. This picture is more like I remember, by this time the tie and tails must have fallen by the wayside and the hats look like their days were numbered.
