Barbara Woodcock with ......? in front of Ringling Bros. Swan Bandwagon which is in Circus World collection. The wagon was built in 1905 by the Moller Bros. Wagon Works in Baraboo, WI.
The wagon was presented to Circus World in 1962 by Walt Disney Studios.
Due to the gracious offer from Frank Van Epps to play with the Sauk County Circus Band, I played with them on this wagon in 1964. Frank had taken over the band when Paul Luckey was hired by CWM. Merle also played on this wagon and commented that the last time he had played on the Swan, there was no canopy and of course he took advantage of the shade. In a previous picture you see some wagons in the shade. In 1964, the temperature was in the 90's and every time we were in the shade, we all started shivering as it seemed to be at least 30 degrees cooler. Bob Kitto
