The film played in many many countries with great success and there are several dozen different posters in different languages for various exhibitions in the different countries (Spanish seen here). Emmett Kelly had a prominent role in the film, seen here with Jimmy Stewart, who also portrayed a clown; One of the film's other great innovations was merchandising--a novelty in movie marketing at the time, hundreds of products were licensed in conjunction with the film's release; a rare TV tray is included here.
