No idea.
I asked the grandkids if they wanted to go to the movies Saturday after next.
They excitedly asked, "Which one?.....Who's in it?"
When I answered, "Me and Johnny Herriott!" they suddenly remembered other things they had to do.

Off-subject, but speaking of Hollywood: As everyone knows by now, we lost a great one yesterday with the passing of Richard Widmark, at 93. He was one of the industry's good guys, always professional, always prepared, and always willing to let the other actor have the better advantage in a given shot or scene. He had property out on Potrero Road, in Thousand Oaks, and I'd run into him often at the Hillcrest Feed Store, where he'd be picking up supplies for his horses. He was always very sociable, and several times I invited him to come see us at Jungleland. We'd have Rory Calhoun come around, Vince Edwards was a semmi-regular, and Billy Barty was like part of the family there, but Mr. Widmark, who was known for extraordinary shyness, never came to call. Dick McGraw had doubled him in a picture in the 1950s, but I didn't see him again until about a year ago. A "Hollywood contact" invited me to a poker party with his stunt-men friends. We shook hands all around and got us a cold one, and I was shown a seat at the big, professional poker table. A familiar voice next to me inquired if I knew anything about Texas Hold 'Em, and I turned to find myself saying hello once again to Richard Widmark. He was about 91 at the time, and looked 51. Everyone said he preferred hanging out with grips and stunt- men rather than actors. This "Hollywood contact", who purported to open many doors for my work, turned out to be the street-corner variety, and I don't hear from him now. But for that night, upon his invitation to the poker table, there came this last evening in the company of Richard Widmark. May he rest in peace.

Buckles: Seeing this portrait, a fine one to be sure, reminds me of all those program photos of you, most of which don't do you justice and in many of which you look downright dour. Makes me treasure all the more the photos of you I've gotten over the years where you're really smiling.

Zajicek and Gutheil,
Trust me on this. You are treading on very thin ice. I thought it was Kenny Rodgers, back when Dolly Parton was "assisting" him.
