Early photo of I. Feld and Gunther at winter quarters in Venice--This was Gunther's Roman riding outfit and I believe this photo was shot in 1969; another set up with Irvin, his brother and business partner, Israel ("Izzy") Feld (he died in 1972), Judge Roy Hofheinz and Gunther was shot on the same day; notice the then-new elephant head pieces (red for the Red unit, blue for the Blue Unit) which have become a signature look ever since--very attractive; |

Mr. Burck...Note: Roman Riding Outfit, Glasses....Need I say more!.......Sincerely Jim Zajicek
Buckles,
At the end of the harness, on the elephant's trunk, the "circle" of leather with studs is missing.
Also note, the chain around the trunk, which I believe Hugo eliminated on his.
I didn't want to mention these items because I'm in negotiations with the GSOE to buy me out. That and the fact that 2 of my 3 daughters have worked for RBBB. I'm just being cautious and not taking any chances.
(Folks, I'm KIDDING about the buyout, on second thought I wouldn't object to a discussion about it.)
The "circle" on this headpiece might be folded upward, maybe from a head stand.
Both Gunther and Hugo eventually eliminated the chain "bits" since they were only ornamental and were no longer included by the time I arrived.
opps, that was me, I didnt sign NAUGHTON,
Buckles,
If I remember correctly the leather was pretty thick. I would suggest they were "thrown" in a harness box, and that caused the curl.
Happy Easter,
Wade Burck
P.S. It is freaky. Put GGW in a straw "barber shop quartet" hat, and that could be Jim Zajicek unloading a trailer of curiosities.
Mike,
Wait a minute!!! If you were kidding about the buy out, do you suppose Jim Zajicek was also kidding about being in negotiations with Feld to be the new "20th Century Circus Hero"? This is crazy, you guy's have got to stop goofing.
My best,
Wade Burck
