"Josky" 1962

I enjoy your blog and I am surprised at all the names that sound familiar…I quit the road in 1968.

I saw the picture of Joske in 1944…Daddy bought the elephant some time in the sixties…she was starving when she joined the show….she did not stop eating [non stop]for two years…do you have any more information about her?

"Chang Reynolds took this picture on the Carson & Barnes lot (Jack Moore owner) 5/14/62 at Barstow, California. I have in my notes that she died in Hugo the winter of 1968-69."

I am retired from show business. I moved to Sunbury Victoria in 1999.
I met Lillian Perry a few years ago..She came to my house for dinner. I showed her all my pictures, growing up on the family circus. Even though we were so far apart distance wise, our experiences were very similar.

A few days ago ms Christiani sent me a e mail about her book signing, and by accident I got in to your page,,lo and behold a picture of Joske. I was around Joske on C and B for 34 weeks every day as I had an act over there(Sky King) that I had to baby sit.I don't believe the elephant in the Photo is or was Joske...Joske was the strangest looking elephant I had ever seen,,,very large head, and tapering body,,,she was kept in the side show,,and did not perform,,Mr. Shipley was in charge,,,perhaps the photo is of Mable...how do I subscribe to your page,,,it is fantastic,,,,,Stan Kramien, Itinerant Mountebank,,,,when I went to Hugo in the early 60s to deliver Sky King,,,Smokey Jones took me to the barn to introduce me to your Anna Mae, an unforgettable time.

I remember you on the show, babysitting Sky King...a lot of water under the bridge. If you want to reminise I am now living in Austurlia .
