Yes, the Red Unit act was trained by Lance Ramos, according to Joanne Wilson, whom I just had dinner with in Palm Springs over the holidays, where she & Pee Wee are presenting a trained dog act in the Palm Springs Follies. Now, that is a show to see! Talk about Chorus Girls! The youngest in their line-up is 61 and the most senior is 84. The 84 years young one does a solo tap routine with the fastest fan kicks that I have ever seen! And these ladies look just terrific to say the least all the way through a 3+ hour show! The costuming is absolutely extraordinary too, and several of the retired circus folk that I was with, suggested that Kenneth & Nicole should see what REAL wardrobe should look like! One of the best costumes I thought was this all-white number with thousands of rhinestones and a huge circular white feathered headdress that had to be 15 feet in diameter, with About 50 Charlie McCarthy Heads that bounced up and down with every movement the gal made. It was a scream! Beautiful/Funny/Amazing all at the same time! Anyway, the show runs through May, so if you're in the neighborhood, definitely stop in. Tickets are $90-$45 and there is a full house every night. Did I mention, you have to be at least 55 to audition for the cast? You don't ever have to retire!!! Gil Miller books in the circus act every year, I understand. Neil Cockerline
Bob Cline and Dick Flint, Wasted too much time training corbetts, just never got around to it. I had an elephant act that did one years ago. Does that count? Come on, let the young lady bask in the spotlight. Shes earned it. With all due respect, Wade Burck
Is the ticket price scale based on the age of the performers? What's the price of the floss and do I get a hat--along with a veil on it like my grandmother's hat had?
Wade, Come on now, you have been at this three years longer then I have been alive. Though I saw the Courbet tiger with my own eyes (spectacular) you couldn't have possibly been busy with that for thirty years. Now if you said, "I was busy chasing/studying show-girls" your statement would be more plausible, and seem less self serving.
Mr. Cline, This maybe an easy trick to put on tigers, that already sit up and are some what controlled. I would definitely not sell it short. It is a group trick (threatened species list) and I would venture to say she looks far better doing this trick then you, I, or Wade would.
This looks to be a sensational act all the way around. Good tricks, good presentation, beautiful wardrobe. I agree Wade, maybe she should have some of the spotlight, rather then..... Wait I don't want to be unseemly, and it is two hours into "happy hour" here at the ranch.
With all due respect

Anonymous, "three years longer then I have been alive!!!!" Casey just gave me a great idea. If you could get in touch with the Feld people, and have them resign Mr. Woodcock, Mr. Herriott, and myself they could easily increase ticket prices to $200.00. If they want to be real greedy, the can resign Lee Stevens also. That should justify an increase of about 2 and a half yards per patron. Get on it before they leave Tampa. Wade Burck
P.S. Casey, Check out todays blog pictures. I think you have confused me with the good Dr. Marcan. Dont apologize. In the dim light we are hard to tell apart. It happens all the time. Wade Burck
Nope, No confusion here Wade. I said "studying/chasing" Mr. Marcan appears to be doing neither, and has possibly "figured them out" judging by the 2-fer photo. But don't give up my friend, keep studying.
Here this may help, it is a line you can use down south.¿señora, puedo ayudarle a encontrar algunos zapatos? Please use it wisely, and practice in a mirror.
Casey, Sorry if it sounded like I was getting in the limelight. Not at all. I certainly didn't mean to take anything away from someone else's achievements. I give this young lady a hearty congratulations and hope to visit with her next month in Florence. I will also agree with you, she looks far better than any of us ever did. Bob
Mr. Cline, I didn't take your comment as getting in the lime light. Wade put it in the spot, only to one-up it, and try to shine it on himself. No sorry needed from you. I will however apologize, and try to unplug the computer prior to "happy hour" at the ranch.
PS.. You wouldn't by chance have any photos of Mr. Childress working his beasts, would you? If so I would love to see them.
Casey, I haven't spoken with Bob since September. He told me they were in the show and doing a little bit. So, No I don't have any pictures yet, but when I do, I'll pass them on. Hope your season does well. Bob

Nice trick
Over the garden wall?
Taba on the red unit also presents the same trick--wasn't his trained by Lance Ramos?
Dick Flint
Baltimore
I saw David Tetzlaff perform this in his act and then I trained this trick with two of my tigers. They actually learned it quite quickly.
