There was an interesting video made of the Beatty-Cole Show that year. It had shots from dress rehearsal and Kathleen being knocked down by a tiger. She was quite calm and handled the situation well. A little shaken after she came out of the cage, but never let it bother her afterwards. She worked in the Cole office wagon a couple of years ago, did a little marketing to help out a year ago, but she is living in WVA now on a farm I believe. Carl
This is the act that was trained and owned by Josip Marcan. Kathleen had a very good contact cat in the act named Simba, who was a female liger. Simba loved to perform, and when it was her turn to do her shoulder stand trick, she came at Kathleen with just a little bit to much enthusiasim and knocked her down. This happened 2 or 3 times, and it was decided to leave the trick out.

Wasn't the "knockdown" incident part of a wonderful video of a few years ago called "Winterquarters"?

I am her nephew. She lives on the same property where she grew up. It used to be a farm, but isn't anymore.
