Not trying to be a kill joy, but Barredas didn't play Altoona, to my knowledge. This would also be in Wilkes-Barre, PA.
Pete, the Baraboobian!
I was informed this morning that Barry Lubin was presented the Lou Jacobs Lifetime Achievement Award.
Also included in the ceremony was the Grandma standin who received the prestigious Laurel and Hardy Handshake.
WHOOPS! Did I say Altoona??
PTB is indeed quite right
This was the Irem Shrine/
Hamid Circus in the King-
ston, Pa Armory right
across the river from
Wilkes-Barre. In April.

Yes, Barry was given the Lou Jacobs
LAA last night and as far as I know no one took still pictures. I
was supposed to, but as Diane was just diagnosed with severe emphysema yesterday morning and is on multiple medications I just could not leave her alone. Pat Cashin has a real nice video clip on his web site.
God Bless all you showfolks for giving "The Joy of The Season"
a double meaning.

Me one more time, Buckles for a
modest consideration I will not tell Mel Brooks about your, "also
included..." comment.

That line originated in the movie "The Bank Dick".
After W.C. Fields saves the day by thwarting an attempted bank robbery the Bank President concludes his "thank you" speech by saying:
"As a reward I now invest you with this hearty handshake!"
Paul. I'm sure I'm not the only one hoping that Diane gets stabilized on her medications in plenty of time for a busy 2008.
