The most outstanding elephant blanket of GGW's career with RBBB. Black, white trim and mirrors as a backdrop for that leaing tiger. My all time favorite!
Kongo appears to be heading for the back door of the Sports Arena all by himself. I can remember being back stage in the arena in 1995, just before the start of the Sunday evening performance. Down the ramp came Kongo, all by himself. He stopped right at the performers’ entrance and stood there patiently, waited for his turn to go on during the opening. Will we ever see anything like that again? Happy Thanksgiving.
John Herriott told me that when he was on the Red Show, during the animals walks "Kongo" was the last elephant in line and pretty much left to her own devices. If so disposed she might stop and pull a branch or two off a tree or scratch her butt on somebodies car. The only time she showed any alarm was if the herd should vanish around a corner then she would boogie along until she caught up, then returned to business as usual.
