Forepaugh-Sells 1905 or 1906.
It's too bad the cameraman or the director didn't foucs of the United States wagon in the Macy's parade. We got lots of Paul Binder and company and "Grandma" but not a good shot of the wagon.
Buckles, thanks for sharing wagon photos with us today.
Does anyone have photos of the wagon and riders from the Macys parade. Too bad the wagon wasn't shown during the parade on NBC.
My wiser half was at parade and got a couple pictures. Normally getting her into a museum to look at wagons is about as easy as getting me into the ballet to see Nutcracker yet again, but she thought United States was spectacular. Of course when gets home on Monday and discovers that we still haven't cleaned up from cooking turkey without her she may not trust us home alone again.
The deal with Macy's and the television network revolves around $pon$or$ship...the big corporations are guaranteed "air time" in exchange for sponsorship dollars. The bands and "non-sponsored" parts of the parade get secondary consideration.
Am I the only one who noticed that the host of this telecast was DAVE PRICE ???
He looked younger than I remembered him.
